About this property

Summary

A newly renovated two-bedroom lodge with its own private hot tub, on a quiet, gated holiday park just outside the village of Wilberfoss. York city centre is around 20 minutes' drive, with the Yorkshire Wolds, Castle Howard and the coast all within easy reach. Inside you'll find two bedrooms one with a king-size bed and the other with bunk beds, a well-equipped kitchen with range cooker and dishwasher, fast Wi-Fi and a welcome pack waiting for you. Free driveway parking. Ideal for couples or a small family.

Space

Earl Grey Lodge has been renovated throughout, with a bright, open-plan living area at its heart.

Living area: comfortable seating, a Samsung 43" smart TV with surround sound, and central heating to keep things cosy all year round.

Kitchen: fully equipped for proper cooking, with a range cooker, dishwasher, American-style fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and good-quality pots and pans. A tea and coffee station is set up for your arrival.

Bedroom 1: a king-size bed with a high-quality mattress and pillows, plus a flat-screen TV.

Bedroom 2: bunk beds

Bathroom: shower over bath, with towels, hairdryer and essentials provided.

Outside: your own private hot tub, it's a lovely spot for a morning coffee or an evening soak.

Access

You'll have the whole lodge to yourselves, including the decking, hot tub, rear garden and driveway parking. Check-in is self-service, and we'll send full arrival instructions, including access through the park gate, before your stay.

To find us: leave the A1079 towards Florida Keys Holiday Park, take the second left after the Thai restaurant, go through the gate, then take the first right.

Neighborhood

The lodge sits on Florida Keys, a peaceful, well-kept holiday park set in open countryside with fields around it. The other lodges are privately owned, so it has a quiet, community feel rather than a busy resort atmosphere.

For dinner without driving far, Thai Season, an authentic Thai restaurant on the A1079, is open Wednesday to Sunday evenings, and the Oddfellows Arms is a village pub on Main Street in Wilberfoss. The market town of Pocklington is a few miles away, with supermarkets, independent shops, cafés and pubs, as well as Burnby Hall Gardens.

York is the main draw: the Minster, the Shambles, the city walls, museums and a huge choice of places to eat. Further afield, you can explore the Yorkshire Wolds, Beverley, Castle Howard and the coastal towns of Scarborough, Filey and Whitby.

Transit

A car is the easiest way to get around, and there's free parking on the driveway.

By car (approximate): Pocklington 10 minutes, York city centre 20 to 25 minutes, Castle Howard 35 minutes, Beverley 35 to 40 minutes, Leeds 45 minutes, Harrogate 50 minutes, Scarborough around an hour, Whitby around 1 hour 30 minutes.

For York, the Grimston Bar Park & Ride is right on your route in and saves the hassle of city-centre parking.

By bus: the X45, X46 and X47 services stop on the A1079 at Wilberfoss, running between Hull, Pocklington and York, with a stop at the park entrance.
